Stamping & Hard Tooling

Hard Tooling

Galgon Industries designs and builds stamping tools to help reduce production costs depending on the volume and tolerance needs of your program. We specialize in both high and low volume metal stamping production using a variety of materials that range from .005" to .125" thick. Hard tool configurations can take the form of inexpensive punching or forming dies to very large complex fully progressive tools, and become necessary to drive piece part costs down and to meet tight tolerance requirements.

Hard Tooling Presses

With a maximum press capacity of 600 tons and a bed size of 4 ft. x 8 ft., Galgon houses one of the largest punch presses on the West Coast. We have a wide variety of stamping presses to meet your needs that range from 600 tons all the way down to 27 tons.

Tool Design Capabilities

Our CAD Tool Design staff uses state-of-the-art design software, (Cadkey, Profold, Draftpack, Solid Works, DP Technology, and H.P. Solid Designer) which compliments our tool-making teams of skilled craftsmen. We utilize the most advanced computer-aided machine tools for precision in the production process. These tools allow us to import customer designs via Solid Designer, ACIS SAT files, IGES Solids, conventional IGES, and AUTOCAD DXF, DWG files. A significant reduction in lead-time in the manufacture of hard tools is realized with the integration of the customer's CAD design, tool design software interpreting the language and the machine tool program conversion.

For optimum time to market considerations, Galgon Industries has established a tool building network of suppliers around the world who are receiving and converting our CAD tool designs into a machine tool language. Our commitment to a low cost tooling solution is evident with our expansion into the global market.
